Big Texas News of the Week

Local social media, PR expert killed in Tel Aviv car wreck

Chris Quinn of the San Antonio Express news reports the very sad news that Alan Weinkrantzwas killed by a speeding car that plowed into a street cafe where he was eating dinner in Tel Aviv. Alan earned a stellar reputation as a PR consultant for both American and Israeli startups and most recently as the startup program ambassador for Rackspace in Israel before returning to San Antonio. Alan was a friend to all and will be missed by many. He often ended his many thoughtful tweets and posts with the hashtag #behelpful — and he unquestionably was to everyone in our community.
