About Apricity Robotics

Apricity is transforming diagnostic imaging through a next-generation robotics platform. Our initial product, a robotic ultrasound “third arm,” eases physical strain on sonographers and delivers precise, consistent images. This is just the first step: Our platform roadmap extends to fully remote operation and AI-guided imaging, enabling a single expert sonographer to oversee multiple scans from anywhere in the world. By unlocking more capacity in an overburdened healthcare system and bringing high-quality imaging to underserved regions, we aim to scale into a category-defining leader across medical robotics and telehealth.

Problem statement

Hospitals face a critical global shortage of sonographers and imaging technologists—demand for diagnostic procedures is increasing even as qualified personnel leave due to burnout and physical injury. With millions of echocardiograms, OB, and vascular scans demanded each year, waiting lists are growing and costs are climbing. Remote patients especially feel the impact, often waiting months for care or traveling long distances for appointments. By delivering a robotic solution that solves both the labor bottleneck and geographic barriers, Apricity is positioned at the intersection of high-growth healthcare robotics, telemedicine, and AI-enabled diagnostics.

Traction information

1. Pilot Success: Completed successful trials at Orlando Health with fourteen unique sonographers—each trained in under five minutes—produced clinically accurate images. In total, in 2025 we have completed 30+ scanning sessions covering cardiac, OB anatomy, thyroid, and vascular imaging.

2. Growing Clinical Network: Initiating formal pilot studies at University Hospitals and Orlando Health, with additional major systems in the pipeline. We have a lineup of 6 other major systems who are being added to the pilot trial list through in person demos, all without any outbound sales efforts from our team.

3. Regulatory Path: Conducted a pre-sub with the FDA and are actively preparing for an FDA 510k submission focused on validating patient comfort, safety, and image quality.

4. Investor & Advisor Support: Guided by leading medical and robotics experts, Apricity is backed by seed investors with deep healthcare and technology portfolios and a medical advisory board with KOL physicians from the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Orlando Health, and Mount Carmel.
