About DexMat

DexMat is an advanced carbon materials company pioneering Galvorn — a next-generation conductive material designed to make metal obsolete. Invented by Nobel Prize-winning scientists at Rice University and funded by NASA and the U.S. Air Force, Galvorn delivers the conductivity of copper with 15x the strength of steel at half the weight of aluminum. Produced from abundant, inexpensive domestic feedstocks via a patented, scalable process, Galvorn enables a secure U.S.-based supply chain for a critical conductive material. DexMat’s mission: to accelerate the next industrial revolution with high-performance sustainable materials.

Problem statement

Galvorn is the only material that delivers multi-property performance — conductivity, strength, lightweighting, and flexibility — in a production-ready, industrially scalable form factor. Unlike copper, it is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, fully recyclable, and free from geopolitical supply chain risk. Produced domestically from natural gas via a patented wet-spinning process similar to how Kevlar and Rayon are made at massive scale, Galvorn offers a sovereign U.S. supply chain for conductivity. DexMat is not making metal less problematic; it is making metal obsolete.
