TAV is building affordable, American-made drones for law enforcement. Drones help police forces reduce costs, lower response times, and keep officers safer. Chinese manufacturers control ~85% of the U.S. police drone market, but have been banned by Congress due to a threat to national security. American alternatives are too expensive for broad adoption and prioritize features over cost-effectiveness. Our drones compete with American-made drones that sell for over $15,000 but cost under $1,000 to produce via patented modular hardware, a proprietary production process, and our own in-house software operating system. We are backed by Antler, Gaingels, Capital Factory, and Genesis, have early customer interest, and are coordinating agency conversations through introductions to city leadership, including in Albuquerque.

Chinese drones are labeled a threat to national security, but dominate 85% of the American police drone market. American police drones are too expensive for police forces to widely adopt. Legislation banning Chinese drones has left police forces with expensive, less capable American drones or no drones at all.
We build drones that compete with American-made drones that sell for over $15,000 but cost under $1,000 to produce via patented modular hardware, a proprietary production process, and our own in-house software operating system. We focus on building drones that police forces can afford — not drones that look impressive on paper.
TAV is excited to announce that we raised our pre-seed round, led by Antler, Genesis, and Gaingels.
