Dana Abramovitz

Co-Founder and COO

Biography

Dana is a highly educated and accomplished serial entrepreneur, who is passionate about facilitating the bringing of ideas to life. After achieving an ivy-league Ph.D. from Columbia University in Biochemistry, Dana left the pharma industry to start a video game company called GameTank. They achieved (what others said was) the impossible: a game like “Guitar Hero” except it used real guitars to teach the user to play. After a successful exit in 2009, that game is now in its 5th revision from Ubisoft and known as “Rocksmith.” Driven to be better, she then used part of the proceeds from her exit to attain a Masters in Management (MSM) from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has comprehensive experience in guiding software startups from concept to market, including strategic exit. Dana oversees the productization of Harbinger™, ensuring the technology is developed to effectively meet market demands. She has also used her education and connections to help many startups as a track director at SXSW (South by South West).
