My name is Dāvis Ābols, and I am a passionate Unity Developer, Lecturer, and Research Assistant with a strong focus on XR technologies, including virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). I hold a Professional Master’s Degree in Information Technology, specializing in Virtual Reality and Smart Technologies, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and Programming Engineering from Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences.
Currently, I work as a CTO at Exonicus, where I lead the development of XR projects. In addition, I am a Lecturer and Research Assistant at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, contributing to the academic and research community in immersive technologies.
My professional journey has included roles such as XR Developer, where I focused on VR and AR project development, 3D modeling, and solution testing. I have also gained valuable experience through internships working on back-end development, mobile apps, and client-facing solutions.
I have a diverse skill set, including proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Swift, C#, Python, and C++, and expertise in software tools like Unity, Blender, Android Studio. I am also an member of the Latvian Game Developers Association and frequently participate in industry conferences and hackathons to stay at the forefront of the XR field.
I am deeply committed to leveraging my technical knowledge and creativity to develop impactful solutions that push the boundaries of immersive technologies.
