With over 20 years of experience as a venture capital and startup lawyer, José M. Padilla is CEO of LegalMente AI and the founder and managing attorney at Padilla Law PLLC. The firm represents entrepreneurs in cutting edge technologies and those that invest in them. His legal practice includes company formation, employee incentive creation, early stage financings, private equity, acquisitions, commercial and licensing contracts, and general advisory regarding corporate and financing strategy.
He has taught a course on corporate transactions at UNLV’s Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas and a course on health law for NYU.
José graduated with honors from Harvard University with an A.B. in Government and obtained his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
