The modern job search is fundamentally broken, creating significant frustration and inefficiency for millions of job seekers. The process is overwhelmingly manual and chaotic, with existing tools built to serve employers, not the candidates themselves. This creates a lack of transparency, leaving applicants "ghosted" and without feedback on their standing.

Job seekers are forced to rely on cumbersome spreadsheets to manage their applications, a process that becomes a job in itself. This broken system has significant consequences, particularly for new graduates. For the past four years, the unemployment rate for recent graduates six months after graduation has been between 40-45%, impacting 800,000 to 900,000 individuals each year. On average, a new graduate spends 30 hours a week searching for a job and it takes them six months to find one.

This inefficiency carries substantial economic costs. Federal Unemployment Insurance is projected to grow from approximately $40 billion in 2025 to $60 billion in 2035. The market is substantial, with about 7 million unemployed individuals in the U.S. and 170-200 million globally. Furthermore, with the average worker changing careers 5-7 times and nearly 85% of professionals considering a job change, the pool of active job seekers is constantly replenishing.
