We've interviewed hundreds of students and sports fans and our research showed 2 key things:
1. Fantasy sports is slow, boring, and lacks the competitive aspect, and fewer than 30% of players finish a season. It requires a high time commitment and players have to wait an entire season to swap teams or players.
2. Sports betting, while growing in popularity, has a lot of barriers to entry including being 21+ and living in one of the 25 US states where it is legal. Furthermore, young adults, who form the majority of sports fans, usually don't have much money to bet.
