Reza is a serial entrepreneur. He co-founded several startups in the space of material laboratory, upstream oil and gas engineering, online education technology and medical device space. He has had a couple of exits and a couple of lessons learned. He joined an innovative engineering startup in 2013 as an early employee and first engineer. The startup was then sold to a major oil and gas service company in 2016. He then led the technical side of international business development until 2020. Inspired by Covid and out of an unprecedented need for x-rays, he and his longtime friend brainstormed ideas to make medical imaging quick, compact and staff friendly. The vulnerability and inefficiency of the supply chain as well as the discovery of several scattered niche markets made him co-found KnovelCam Inc with Sam Soltani to make compact, agile, and cloud-based x-ray camera systems commercially available. KnovelCam has FDA cleared products in the market and is actively seeking partnerships with rural clinics, sports teams, military hospitals, combat support hospitals, orthopedics surgery groups, outpatient care groups, ambulance operating groups and anywhere a quick and compact medical x-ray is a fit.
In the recent development KnovelCam has expanded its focus to Robotic x-ray as well as image interpretation by AI to help x-ray techs and radiologists to focus on the humanitarian needs of patients rather than operating a machine or relying on their limited database to make a judgment.
KnovelCam compact x-ray systems are also a solution for TSA security and where x-ray security is needed.
