Biography

Bryan Guido Hassin is the CEO of DexMat. He is a global executive and entrepreneur committed to building a sustainable, prosperous, equitable future. A passionate leader, he builds, develops, and motivates teams to achieve audacious goals with urgency and purpose. As an executive, he has created USD $400M+ enterprise value; as a board director, advisor, and mentor, he has helped his portfolio companies
create $100B+ enterprise value.

Prior to joining DexMat, Mr. Hassin was Cofounder and CEO of Third Derivative, which quickly grew to become the world’s largest climate tech innovation ecosystem. In this role, he raised $30M+ for growth and built, led, and inspired a diverse, global team to high performance under the novel challenges of the first two years of COVID. With his leadership, Third Derivative assembled an unprecedented ecosystem of corporate partners (worth $4T in market cap), investors (with $7B in assets under management), and startups (the largest ever cohort of climate tech startups) while mobilizing more than $500M into their 100+ gigaton-potential climate tech startups. Previously Mr. Hassin founded and led as CEO, COO, or CTO eight climate tech startups and corporate spinouts on four continents. In these capacities, Mr. Hassin raised more than $50M, owned P&Ls, and was responsible for driving double- and triple-digit growth. These ventures were met with success and several enjoyed exits that generated more than 10x returns to shareholders.

Mr. Hassin is a recognized innovator, having won the Goradia Innovation Prize, and accomplished speaker, having delivered invited talks at TEDx, the Academy of Management, and the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. His insights on entrepreneurial leadership have been published in the Financial Times and Harvard Business Review.

Mr. Hassin received his MBA with Honours and Leadership Distinction from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has a Master’s in Computer Science and undergraduate degrees in both Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Rice University, where he recently served as Alumni President, and where he now serves on the School of Engineering Advisory Board.
